This past weekend, my husband and I had the opportunity to go and see Disney’s Freaky Friday show opener for Slow Burn Theatre’s season in the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts!
If I could pick three words to describe the show, it would be “Vibrant, Heart-Warming, and Quirky“. Vibrant because the actors and actresses performed so well and with such great energy! It was super funny, and was so engaging as an audience member. Heart-warming because of the story between the mother and daughter. You wanted them to come together in the end and resolve their issues, which they do. It was a great show to take your families too, because it had a wonderful lesson. And quirky because of how dynamic all of the characters were. Each character’s personally really shined through and you found yourself connecting with them on some level.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Disney’s Freaky Friday to all of my friends and family members. Like I said, this is a great performance to take the kids too. People of all ages will really enjoy themselves and will definitely leave the theater with a smile on their face! I have to applaud Slow Burn Theatre for putting together such a wonderful performance that was entertaining, engaging and exciting to watch!
