Wedding In Cartagena

Today I wanted to share with you a wedding guest look that I wore for a special wedding we attended recently. A few weeks ago, Tyronne and I traveled to Cartagena, Colombia for my good friend Daniella’s wedding. Daniella and I went to high school together and met in French class. We have remained good friends so I was so excited to attend her wedding in her hometown of Cartagena, Colombia (I will have a trip review on the blog coming up soon- so stay tuned).

This is a photo of Tyronne and I right before the wedding started. The church was in the “Old City” in Cartagena. The floor into the church was all lined with candles which set a very romantic mood. It was stunning.

The Dress

Since it is very hot in Cartagena, I decided to go with a sleeveless dress from Naked Warbrobe that I had been eyeing for quite some time. This color is unfortunately not on the site anymore, but they still have it in black! When I purchased this dress they had it in my champagne color, a khaki green color and black. I went with the champagne tone because I loved the color with my olive skin. It just popped! I paired the dress with these nude Calvin Klein heels, my ol’ faithful Vince Camuto earrings and my lovely gold Linell Ellis clutch.

The Reception

The wedding was a dream! The church was covered in candles, which was breathtaking. The reception was covered in flowers. It was like walking through a garden. The food was delicious as well. They had a corn risotto that I would have been find eating as my meal. The dessert area was unbelievable. It was one of my favorite parts of the whole wedding. I may have tried everything! Daniella looked absolutely stunning and princess-like with her sparkly dress and stunning tiara. I couldn’t get any good photos of her, but she looked beautiful. It was one of the prettiest weddings I have attended.
